past, present, future
This project was carried out by the children of the Benedy area. The project is about the past, present and future of the Benedy, showing how people's lives have changed over the last century, especially over the past few years. It also shows how the area has changed in housing, occupations and transport.
During the time that the children were working on the project, a few visitors came to recall the olden days for the children and try to give them an insight into how the lifestyle then differs so much from that of today. For their help, the children wish to thank Mrs Annie McCloskey (Den), Mrs Bernadette McCloskeu (Harry) and Mrs Annie Gillen.
Two other people who helped the children along throughout their work were Aisleain McGill, who helped to gather and present the information and also Seamus O'Kane. We were glad of their help. All there is to say now is that we hope you enjoy reading about the Benedy.
